    PayPal Mod Question

I have seen other sites offer payments through PayPal, but it did not require the user to create a PayPal account to do so. The user could click continue on the first PayPal page then just enter their CC info.

My experience so far with the PayPal mod is slightly different... the only options are to sign in with your existing account or to make a new account while providing the CC info.

Is this what everyone else is seeing?

    Re: PayPal Mod Question

The mod is set up using the Buy Now button format so it should allow that. You can try logging into PayPal and creating your own Buy Now button. You just have to be sure to do it without the code protection if you want to be able to update the amount or any other field.

    Re: PayPal Mod Question

If you upgrade your PayPal account to a premier account (this doesn't cost anything - it is just providing info about yourself to PayPal as far as I can tell) then it works like I was expecting.

problem not discussed here is that if paypal catches you "gambling" they will disable your account.

I want to know when we're moving to google checkout

    Re: PayPal Mod Question

I've never had a problem with using PayPal in that regard. Did some one make a complaint or did you transfer an unusually large amount?

I'm not familiar with google checkout but I imagine you could use just about any online payment system. Even if you can't integrate it with the pool you can always manually add transactions.

If anyone has used something else and wants to share, let me know and maybe we can adapt it to the pool.

    Re: PayPal Mod Question

Hello all, Say, I am using 4.0 and I am testing the paypal mod, everything works except that it never posts back to the pool. I do get all the email notices from paypal. Any ideas on what I am missing? Tango
